Secret Update — August 21, 2026
The official post says community jokes about characters facing away from the enemy led to a secret animation made in one day. During the hero’s turn, press a button on keyboard or controller for a 10% chance to trigger it. The post does not name which button, and this page does not guess it.
Also named:
- the game now works while minimized or when the window is not active;
- fixes for issues related to different screen resolutions.
The same post says the team is already working on bigger updates and new content based on feedback, with “more cool stuff coming soon.” It does not give a date or a feature list.

Lootbound released on August 14, 2026 as version 1.0, not Early Access. The newest official
community post is Patch Notes 1.1.7 (August 18, 2026). The August 20 US appdetails recheck
still lists $14.99 / $9.74 (-35%), and the live store HTML still reads Offer ends August 28.
Patch 1.1.7 — August 18, 2026
The official notes say randomness in item selection was a common complaint. Named changes:
- item selection is more fair and predictable: you can take one common reward, or roll the dice for a chance at something better;
- Difficulty II is rebalanced to be slightly more challenging;
- several minor bugs and stability improvements.
These are official patch-note claims, not a measured drop table or a new difficulty ranking. Update before judging current item luck or Difficulty II.
The August 16 community post “Why do they keep staring at you?” is a flavour/community note about characters looking at the player. It is not a gameplay patch and is not used as a mechanic source here.
Patch 1.1.5 — August 15, 2026
The first post-launch update, Patch 1.1.5 (August 15), is a balance patch built on launch feedback: reduced boss and elite enemy strength (health/armor), weakened enemy buffs and debuffs, faster mana regeneration between fights, lower all-room dice difficulty, higher Memory Shards income, and a slight increase to the third difficulty level. These are official patch-note claims; update before judging current difficulty.
The Lootbound Demo (Steam app 4290960) is still listed and free after launch. Its own store entry lists Windows and macOS, while the full game also lists SteamOS + Linux, so the demo does not necessarily mirror every platform of the full release. Demo availability can change without notice; recheck the live store entry before recommending a download.
The full-game listing continues to show Windows, macOS and SteamOS + Linux, single-player only, with Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. The pre-launch snapshot below is retained as history.
Historical snapshot: 2026-08-13 (pre-launch check)
A source check recorded on August 12, 2026, and retained for this August 13 content update, found the August 11 post 4 Days Left. Are You Ready? as the latest visible countdown. It keeps the August 14 plan in view; no released, Early Access or price state is shown on the checked official pages.
The August 14, 2026 planned release is unchanged. The full-game listing still shows the game as coming soon with a “Planned Release Date: Aug 14, 2026” line, and Steam’s store widget displayed an “unlocks in about 3 days” countdown at the time of this check. No price is published anywhere on the full-game listing — the store API returns no price overview and no package is listed — so this page still does not quote a number for the full game. The developer’s stated 35% launch discount for the first two weeks remains the only pricing commitment on the record; the real regional checkout price still has to be confirmed after the game unlocks.
The Lootbound Demo (Steam app 4290960) is still live and free. Its own store entry lists Windows and macOS (released February 19, 2026), while the full game also lists SteamOS + Linux, so the demo does not necessarily mirror every platform of the full release. Demo availability can change without notice; recheck the live store entry before recommending a download.
For the Lootbound download intent, the correct path is the separate official Steam Demo listing, not a mirror or an installer that asks for Steam credentials. The full-game Steam page is the release listing and should not be described as released before the planned date passes.
The full-game listing continues to show Windows, macOS and SteamOS + Linux, single-player only, with Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. The release-date update of July 27 remains the newest material schedule change; this August 12 check supersedes the earlier August 6 store re-verification below.
Latest official status
The official feed was checked again through August 12, 2026. Its newest visible post is the August 11 four-day launch countdown; it contains no release confirmation or full-game price. The newest material schedule change remains the July 27 release-date update, when the developer moved Lootbound from July 31 to August 14, 2026. Any older official countdown that still says July 31 has been superseded by this later announcement. See the Current status section above for the August 12 store re-check.
August 6 — store re-verification
A re-check of the Lootbound store page on August 6, 2026 found no further schedule change. The page still lists August 14, 2026 as the planned version 1.0 release, the developer’s stated not Early Access position, the separate free Demo, and SteamOS/Linux support. The current feature list and tags also name map exploration, companions, item auras and synergies, boss parts, Inventory Management and Turn-Based. No price is published on the full-game listing, so this page still does not quote a number.

July 30 — community giveaway, not a version update
The newest official Steam-feed entry invites players to a Discord giveaway. It does not announce a new build, patch, demo change or revised release date. Giveaway availability and terms can change, so check the linked community post directly rather than treating this page as an entry guarantee.
July 27 — release moved to August 14
The team says feedback from streams, gameplay videos and players identified improvements that should be included in the release build. The extra two weeks are intended for polish and remaining fixes. The developer explicitly says Lootbound is not launching in Early Access; August 14 is planned as version 1.0.
The same announcement promises a 35% launch discount for the first two weeks and says multiple post-release updates are already in development. For buyers, the exact regional price and the real discount end time still need to be checked in the live Steam checkout after release. “Updates in development” is a support commitment, not a published roadmap with dates or guaranteed features.
July 6 — 19 languages announced; current store lists 20
Lootbound is planned to ship with manually prepared interface and text support for 19 languages: English, Russian, French, German, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Thai, Swedish, Ukrainian, Indonesian, Filipino/Tagalog, Hungarian, Malay and Italian.
That is the historical announcement. The live Steam language table checked on August 6 additionally lists Romanian, bringing the current interface and subtitle total to 20. This is not a contradiction: the dated news post records what was announced on July 6, while the store table is the better source for the current language package. Neither source confirms full voice acting in every language; recheck the interface, subtitle and full-audio columns at launch.
The post’s original “25 days” countdown was based on the former July 31 date. The language list remains relevant, but its countdown is historical after the July 27 schedule change.
June 13 — playtest closed, public demo opened
The closed playtest ended and the developer made a separate public Lootbound Demo available on Steam. The team said playtest comments and bug reports would be used to improve balance, pacing, controls and the overall feel, while the wider demo would collect more feedback.
The official demo is the correct way to try the game; third-party downloads are unnecessary. Before assuming the demo matches version 1.0, verify its current store availability, update date and scope. The announcement does not promise that demo saves transfer into the full game.
