Lootbound release date, demo and platforms

Release status: out now

Lootbound released on August 14, 2026 as a full version 1.0 launch, not Early Access. The official launch announcement (“Lootbound is OUT NOW!”) and the Steam store listing both confirm the game is purchasable and downloadable as of the August 16, 2026 recheck. The August 14 date was itself a schedule update from an originally planned July 31 release, which is why this page waited for the official launch confirmation before switching away from “planned” wording.

Current status as of 2026-08-16

• Status: released August 14, 2026 (full 1.0, not Early Access).
• Price: $14.99 base (US store); 35% launch discount to $9.74 for the first two weeks per the official announcement.
• Patch 1.1.5 (August 15): the first post-launch balance patch — reduced boss and elite enemy strength (health/armor), weakened enemy buffs/debuffs, faster mana regeneration between fights, lower all-room dice difficulty, higher Memory Shards income, and a slight buff to the third difficulty level.
• Demo: the free demo remains listed on the Steam store page.
• Platforms: Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon), SteamOS/Linux; no console platform listed.

Free demo availability

A separate free Lootbound Demo is available on Steam. It is the current hands-on version for practising the systems the store pages describe: turn-based tactics, loot management, companions, inventory placement and synergies. The store’s current feature list and tags also name map exploration, boss parts, Inventory Management and Turn-Based.

The cited Steam store page does not list a console platform. The listed game mode is single-player; no co-op or multiplayer mode is described.
